On Friday, it was down-pouring (again) in Santiago, and I didn't have an umbrella or a raincoat with me. I was already in a pretty weird mood from work, and I was getting soaked. On my way to the metro, a stranger said she was walking the same way and shared her umbrella with me. We talked the whole way there about our families and how she couldn't imagine her son moving away from home as young as I did. It wasn't much, but she went out of her way to be nice and help me out and it made my day.
